PlanET to Supply Anaerobic Digestion Technology for Flagship Convertus York Biofuels Facility

PlanET Biogas Solutions Inc. (PlanET) is proud to announce its role as the supplier of anaerobic digestion technology for the state-of-the-art Convertus York Biofuels Facility, scheduled to open in East Gwillimbury, Ontario, in 2027. The facility will process pre and post-consumer food waste into biogas which will then be upgraded to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). This landmark project, developed by Convertus Group in collaboration with the Regional Municipality of York, has been in design and planning for the past two years and officially broke ground late 2024, marking the beginning of construction on a facility that will redefine organic waste processing in the region.

Call for Abstracts for 2025 Value of Biogas West

Interested presenters for 2025 Value of Biogas West Conference (October 6-8 in Calgary, AB) are invited to submit presentation abstracts. Please submit your abstract no later than June 27th by clicking here. A table of suggested topics is provided on the website, however, abstracts with a different focus will be considered. We will also accept proposals for panel discussions, workshops, or other innovative formats.

Liberals Elected to Minority Government with Clean Fuel Commitments

The Liberal Party of Canada, led by Mark Carney, won a minority with 169 seats in the federal election, with the Conservative Party elected as the Official Opposition with 144 seats. The Liberal Party platform pledged to reduce Canada’s reliance on imported clean fuels, progress on ITCs, invest in clean agricultural technologies, and facilitate the flow of clean energy across provinces, and the Canadian Biogas Association is eager to get to work on ensuring these are realized. Liberals Elected to Minority Government with Clean Fuel Commitments

The Liberal Party of Canada, led by Mark Carney, won a minority with 169 seats in Monday’s federal election, with the Conservative Party elected as the Official Opposition with 144 seats. The Liberal Party platform pledged to reduce Canada’s reliance on imported clean fuels, progress on ITCs, invest in clean agricultural technologies, and facilitate the flow of clean energy across provinces, and the Canadian Biogas Association is eager to get to work on ensuring these are realized. Other relevant Liberal commitments on the campaign trail included providing direct support for clean energy projects and leveraging CUSMA renegotiations to establish better North American regulatory alignment on biofuels.
